The wrestlers came through for an- other thrilling season in spite of their inexperience on the squad. Duane Brown and Doug Swinehart were named most valuable wrest- lers. Duane was awarded con- ference champion and recognized for setting a new school pinning record. Doug was cited for having gotten the most take downs dur- ing the season. The wrestlers placed 8th in the Goshen invitational, they placed 2nd in the Northern State Con- ference, and they won a 6th place in the Sectional. The 1971-72 rec- ord was 5-6-0. Track Team Has Winning Season This year Fairfield ' s Varsity Track team had one of the best seasons in the history of the school with a record of 6-3. They placed second in the Fairfield and Laville relays, and the Conference meet. Thev al- so placed second in the Concord Relays where they broke four re- cords and tied one. The 33 Vi points and the fourth place that the Fal- cons scored at the Goshen Relays was the highest ever scored by a Fairfield team.
