The seventh graders really kept up our winning tradition. They went nine games undefeated. In playing Milford they set a new Jr. High scoring record of 60 points. They also beat Pierre Moran by 2 points. This was the first time any Fair- field team has beaten them. The eighth graders ended up with an even season of 8-8. There weren ' t really any outstanding players. In the games played they used an all team effort. They won their 4-way tourney by defeating Westview in the first game and Middlebury in the final game. Jr. Highs Uphold Winning Tradition 73

Three weeks before that Wawasee had beat- en the Falcons by 30 points. The outstanding players were Rog- er Beecher, Roger Hershberger, and DougTarman.

The wrestlers came through for an- other thrilling season in spite of their inexperience on the squad. Duane Brown and Doug Swinehart were named most valuable wrest- lers. Duane was awarded con- ference champion and recognized for setting a new school pinning record. Doug was cited for having gotten the most take downs dur- ing the season. The wrestlers placed 8th in the Goshen invitational, they placed 2nd in the Northern State Con- ference, and they won a 6th place in the Sectional. The 1971-72 rec- ord was 5-6-0.
