Students and teachers thinking, playing, talking, laughing, cheering, arguing, gossiping, and conspiring are what gives our high school its character. Environment and other outside forces also work in molding a schoo1's personality. This year was its own. It was a mixture of endless disappoint- ments, as well as proud joy. Fairfield High began to excel in new avenues without losing old qualities either. Deep down in every FHS student's heart there is a love for this school. it may be buried deeply now, but one day will recognize it. DoN EMMO S Being Principal of FHS , Mr. Don Emmons is a busy man. He is also a E ' f ' ' rancher and a father and an interested citizen. Mr. Emmons executes his ' W duties with a sense of humor and fairness that is admired by all. He oversees high school activities and appears to be genuinely interested in them. Mr. Emmons, the Eagle Eye salutes you. 1 'Q' Mr. Harold Loewe Jr. High Principal Mr. Harold Loewe, Fairfield Junior High School Principal, is a man of many abilities. In addition to his duties as principal, he is very active in sports. As coach of the Jr. High Girls' Basketball teams and the Jr. High and High School Tennis teams, he carries a very heavy schedule . Nevertheless, he never neglects his duties as principal. He tries to have the best of everything for his students and expects his students' help in their upkeep. We all appreciate the effort he is putting forth. Mr. Loewe shall never be forgotten at Fairfield Junior High School. Intermediate Principal Mr. Laolaire Williamson Mr. Williamson is principal of our intermediate school. He is doing a fine job of guiding our youngsters into becoming good citizens of the future. .-ff As principal of the elementary school, Mr. Burleson is responsible for the well-being of stu- dents from kindergarten through third grade . It provides films per- taining to almost any subject, audio visual materi- als, photocopies, and videotape units. The center not only provides these things, but it also handles all applications for Titles I, II, and III. The services this center provides improves our school life and benefits the students and faculty . In addition, she was president of the Band and Beta Club. These are just a few of the ways in which Judy showed her enthusiasm in and dedication to Fairfield High School. Hayward Eatmon Citizenship Award The recipient of the Hayward Eatmon Award is determined on one's academic standings, leadership ability, and participation in school activities . Mike met all these requirements and showed excellence in many other areas as well. Mike was out- standing and well thought of as a leader in this school. Beta Club Journeys 550 iles I1 Scenic Bus Tour xi. 'SW The Beta Club field trip covered about 550 miles of bumpy road. They visited the LBJ National Park near Johnson City, and the Admiral Nimitz Naval Museum in Fredricksburg . Their other projects were a trip to the State Beta Club Convention in Dallas, a note card sale, and the Annual Bread Sale for the March of Dimes.
