'That Wonderful Ye ar That wonderful year for the 1961 graduating class of Fairfield High School was not 1943, the year in which most of the Seniors were borng nor 1949, the year most of you started to school, but to you, mat wonderful year is the school year, 1960-61, your Senior year at Fairfield High School. Already the years have too swiftly passed away, and all too soon your Senior year will have slipped into history. As you reflect upon this wonderful year, which actually is a golden opportunity, think about why this is a won- derful year. It certainly has been one filled with excitement and adventure, a climax to your twelve years of public education, a year when you came to really appreciate each other, which for most of you will be your last year together. After graduation you will go your various ways and never again will see many of your classmates. So, as you think of the year 1960-61, think not of last year, because it is gone and cannot be changed, think not of next year, for it is not yet hereg but rather think of this year, the opportunity to prepare yourselves to meet life's challenges and opportunities, the most wonderful year of your life.
