n-)G (W SG( )(ORS PRcsewr me twyvty first joivne or w EDITOR MN SWIFT BUS. MGR AIORMA SHORT FOREWORD THIS VOLUME IS A RECORD OF SOME OF YOUR DhYS AT FAIRFIELD HIGH. LET IT HELP YOU TO RECAPTURE IN MEMORY THE SPIRIT OF THE FUN AND THE YYORK YOU KNEW, AND THE FRIENDS YOU MADE. MAY THESE PAGES SERVE TO KEEP THAT MEMORY BRIGHT. For her sincerity in all undertakings, for her interest in students as individuals, for our deep appreciation of all that she is, we, the Cless of 46, dedicate the twenty-first volume of the Crucible to Mrs. Cecil Fiquett. MRS. T(C •IT IS RATHER FOR US TO BE HERE DEDICATED TO THE GREAT TASK REMAINING BEFORE US; THAT FROM THESE HONORED DEAD WE TAKE INCREASED DEVOTION TO THAT CAUSE FOR WHICH THEY GAVE THE LAST FULL MEASURE OF DEVOTION; THAT WE HERE HIGHLY RESOLVE THAT THESE DEAD SHALL NOT HAVE DIED IN VAIN. Abraham Lincoln Mr. Baker will complete his twenty-third year as Superintendent of the Fairfield Schools, and his fiftieth year in the teaching profession, on June 30, 19 6, when he will retire from active educational work. He came to Fairfield in 1923 and under his leadership the Fairfield Schools have grown and developed into one of the finest systems in the state. Mr. Baker will retire; but boys and girls of Fairfield will long continue to receive material benefit from his achievements and inspiration from his high ideals. 5 MR. V . H. MCMURRY Principal MR. T.
