PURE WORD Another year has come and gone, and another class of High School students is about to pass on into broader fields. which extend far beyond the boundaries of the classroom. But noble achievements, honor won, bright memories, will remain for all timeg and this, the eighth volume of the Crucible, will ever keep fresh recollec- tions of merry days, joyous, happy hours. and the more serious and thoughtful work of these school days. The students of the class of 1933 are well worth re- inemberingg and when, in years to come, the pages of this book are turned. each name will call forth a smile and a tear, a memory of earnest purpose and of work faithfully done. But deeper and better than all else will be the thought that in the class dwelt the spirit of Fairfield High- love of the school, honor for its name, endeavor to be worthy of its teachings and its ideals. Then keep this book and lovingly read it in future days. May it be an incentive when life frowns darkly, when vexatious and cares harass-to face all bravely and unflinchingly, with hearts overflowing with the spirit which was born and fostered in Fairfield High School. ,l-.1l?-l--- VVe, the members of the annual staff of 1933, and the student body, wish to express our appreciation to Mrs. C. P. Turner, of the Fairfield Printing Company, for the donation of whose services the production of this volume of the Crucible was made possible.
