TV, Channel 50, pre- sents, Happenings of Tomorrow. At home in their living room, we see Ethel Hunley and Lula Mae Coffey enjoying the enter' taining programs of Channel 50. So now to our programs. We now give you the latest news reports. Here to give them to you is our news reporter, Danny Bowling. Hello, friends. FLASH! Bob Burkett, leader of the baker's union, announced that they have gone on strike. Also, Chester Griggs has invented an entirely new Xfray ma' chine which .enables one to tell the birthmark on a mummy's hind leg. F.H.S.S. TV now presents our most popular program, Hit Parade. We have the most wonderful crooner of all times. Ted Bruin appears before the screen to sing the ten top hit songs. He begins singing, Oh! What happened? One of the audience has fainted. Is there a doctor or nurse in the studio? Good! It so happens that Nola Allen is here. Let's see who the person is who fainted. 'Well, it's Mary Downie. After administering spirits of am- monia, Mary is well again and is back to watch the show. After singing his selection of songs, he introduces the guest singer, Let's see who it is, Why, it's none other than Carolyn Ervin. Our next progam is the Art Show. The talent' ed artist, Mildred Schaub, appears before the screen to draw, Mildred has a large audience in the studio. We see someone coming up to the stage to have her portrait drawn. Well, look who it is, Martha Warner. Mildred recogf nizes Martha and asks her what she is doing now. She tells Mildred she is teaching the 6th grade at a local school. She informs Mildred that her twin sister, Mary, is also teaching at the same school. The musical background heard on her show comes from the pianist, Lois Ann Clair, who appears on this show every day, And now for the sports fans, we have our athletic activity. A football game is being played between Ohio State University and Miami Unif versity. On Ohio State's team we see the familf iar faces of Bill Farthing and Herbert Hurst. Coach of this team is Reginald Eickelberger. On the opponent's team, we see John Thall. After a thrilling four quarters the - - Oh, we can't say who wins. A queen is crowned at the game. Yes, she is attractive Alberta Treadway! Our next program is 'Cavalcade of Bands. Tonight we have the famous band of james Goodrich. James plays a few selections on his trumpet and directs a number of songs for his band. Next is our L'Bride to Be program. Let's Nevaline Dobbs see who the bride to be is. then appears before the screen. There is a beau' tiful model to show the wedding gown she will be given for appearing as guest on the show. The model is attractive Norma Holden. Mary Johnson then appears before the screen to tell Nevaline that she will receive a free certificate to come to her beauty salon to make her look beautiful for her wedding day. Our next program is our comedy show with the great comedian, james Huff. After Jim steals the good jokes from all the other comedians, he tries to make the audience laugh. I think he did get a few laughs. This concludes our telecast on The Happen- ings of Tomorrow, but before we leave let's see who makes the telecast possible. Behind the cameras we see Pete Logdsdon, Arthur Kehr, Clay Crawford, and Robert Brewer. They have plenty of work, but fun is usually included. Whom do we see sweeping the studio floors? Yes, it is Charles Griffin, the janitor. VVe see Jorctta Hornung walking around look' ing at the walls. Yes, Joretta has become an interior decorator for this television station. We see Dolores Planck pounding away at the typewriter, for she is the private secretary of the manager of the television station, Don Casey. This brings to an end the television program of Channel 5'O , sponsored by Mr, Robert Cropenbaker, Mr. Marc Jewell, and Miss Betty Derrough. ,d,,.,-.
