MOP QC? labor-management problems. Sally Smysor is principal of Fairfield Junior High. Her policy of two hours for study and six for play make her very popular with the students. Jeanne Parker is working in a settle- ment house in the slums ofChicago and is known asasecond Jane Adams. Mary Morris just returned from a geology trip to Africa. As you know, she is the world's most famous woman geologist. Bill Pilcher is a school bus driver for FCHS. Thomas McClintock is President of the United States. He appointed Mary Ann Hollan Secretary of treasury. ln her first year of office she paid off the national debt. Kenneth Brock has a 10,000 acre ranch in Arizona. John Burgess is a great scientist. His latest discoveries are the terrible Oxygen bomb and a chemical to dissolve the skin off a grape. George Butler went to Texas immediately after graduation to become a cowboy but found the grocery business was more suited to his tastes. He is now working as head butcher in the Blades Super market in Dennison, Texas. Bob Christy is a world-renowned flag-pole sitter. His new sitting record of two years and 36 days will probably never be equalled. Dale and Muriel Day are professional basketball players. Grant Hoskins is the president of the Ford Motor Company. Head of his mass-production gas cap department is Joyce Stallings, who is tops in her field. Barbara Harris is a designer of ultra-fashionable clothes. Joyce Etheridge and Gladys Farmer are managers of Q home for the aged, called Happy Haven. Martha Gwaltney and Phyllis Miller are two of the nation's best female wrestlers. Vernon Elliott is captain of one of the submarines which race every night at the Fairfield Country Club. Joe Lee has his own band now. He plays for all the Community Center Dances. Everett Kinney and Lloyd Sherman own a large construc- tion company here in southern Illinois, their latest masterpiece is a bridge across the Skillet Fork. Joyce Potts and Joyce Owen are still working at Morris dime store. Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Ackman have settled in '47

P019 QC? Robert Dye is a conductor for the B 8. O Railroad. He keeps the passengers amused during their trip by singing the St. Louis Blues. Delbert Ellis is a great inventor. His most recent brain child is a self- lacing shoe string. Jean Lyons is also an inventor. She recently patented a new non-skid bobby pin. Gene Yoho is head chef of the Waldorf- Astoria. His specialty is fried turtle tongues. Glen Ellis is preparing to start to China to write a book on the customs of the Chinese. Imogene Vaughn is accompanying him as his secretary. Molly Garrett and Wilma Harris are engaged in private detective work in San Francisco. l.owell Harriss is now an artist, living in Grenwich Village at the present time. Carroll Gibson has a large designing shop in Evansville. Marylee Merritt and Jane Simpson are his favorite models. Wayne Shuffett is becoming enormously wealthy with his alligator farm in the Sahara Desert. Betty Sue Hicks and Rex Hodge are running a hospital for pet poodles in Washington, D. C. Dean Martin is a magician whose fame equals that of the Great Houdini. David Keen and Carolyn Owen are working in a Circus. Emmadean Holman is running a goldfish farm near Geff. Arlene Atteberry is now a chorus girl in Billy Rose 's Diamond Horseshoe in New York. Doug Bates just recently won the United States title of Pocket Billards champion. Jerry Beattie is a Fuller brush sales- man in the Fairfield area. Eugene Hallam is senator from Illinois. Myron Goldbatt is now one of Broadway's brightest stars. He rose to fame in the role of a pixie in Peter Pan. Delbert Harris is singing the lead with the greese spots, they have just completed a tour of the United States, Donald Harris is the U. N. delegate from the United States, the only delegate ever to out-talk the Russian delegate. Kenneth Woods is a driver at the Indianapolis speedway, has won two races in the last six years, and has had only 26 wrecks. Jim Turner has taken over management of Cheffords. He is world famous for his brilliant work in 46

M010 ec? Fairfield. He is president of Brown Chevrolet but hopes in the near future to become vice-president of Brown Cadillac. She is the former Betty Brown. Rev. Glen Berg is a missionary to the heathen in Africa. His wife is the former Peggy Garrett, who aids him greatly in his work. lf the natives ever get out of hand, Glen just charms them with a tuba solo, and they calm down immediately. Eileen Robertson is a Metropolitan opera star. She recently made her debut singing the role of Carmen. Opposite her was the magnificent tenor, Carroll Glenn Taylor, singing the role of Don Jose. lf there isn't a part in the opera for Carroll, he just directs the orchestra. Eileen's understudy is Dorothy Frye. Don Wells has taken over the management of the new roller rink east of Fairfield. Miss Ollie Gray resigned to travel west for her health. Gene Jackson, casanova of FCHS in the good old days, is a movie idol in California. His most recent picture was Two Loves Have l, starring Miss Wanda Morgan, who won an academy award for her performance. Robert Dosier is manager of the Chicago Bears, a pro- fessional football team. Robert Mayberry is the present U. S. Ambassador to Greece. He says he enjoys the country and is affectionately known as Boofus fStupidj. Don and Bill Worley have a cattle farm in the New Hope area. They specialize in Angus cattle and recently sold one cow for S75,000. Robert Merritt now owns what was formerly known as Hill's coffee shop. He has enlarged it considerably and it is now the fashionable place in which to dine. Darlene Walker, Anna Stewart, Margaret Barber, and Marlene Mason are in the service of their country. Soon after graduation La Donna McClure joined the Wacs. Martha Richards is still working for Mr. Grubb in the library and often types for the Brayer of which Mr. Grubb is still sponsor. Martha Book is Fairfield's first woman mayor. Colleen Borah is her chief-of-police and Ann and Darlene Dunegan run the fire department. 48
