348 Band The band is the most select group of the department, as all members have to be able to play an instrument before becoming a member. Muchtime was spent in the football season on marching and colorful formations for home games and our game at Salem. The band appeared also in concert at fall institute and the Shriners' benefit football and marching band clinic at Carbondaleand was named one of the outstanding bands present. This band played forall school functions and several civic parades. During the summer months many will be members of the City Band of the summer camp band at Egyptian Music Camp, Duquoin.
