On Parade Takrng ourplace rn the fourth drvrsron of the parade, we as trmrd Freshmen, started our march through the halls of Farrfreld Hrgh School Our gtudmg lrghts that year rrdrng on the Presrdentral rloat were Nancy Werkert Prestdent Rtchard Clrne V1ce Presrdent Becky Grngell Secretary Treasurer The crowd gave a rousmg cheer as Jean S1tes and Drckre Bowser our representatrves to Student Councrl appeared Walkrng brrsk ly behrnd them came two fellow students, carryrng a banner advertrsrng our square dance wh1ch was to be held at the annual Hrgh School Carruval Movrng to the thrrd d1v1s1on as Sophomores and havmg garned a lrttle more exper rence we followed undertheleadershrp of Rrchard Clrne Presrdent Nrna Shank V1ce Presrdent Marre Pryor Secretary Treasurer Followrng next rn lrne of command were Becky Grngell and Roger Mrller as our representatlves to Student Councrl Proceedrng rn the 11ne of march came the two prrze wlnnrng floats deprctrng our two socral hrgh lrghts of the year the Hunter s Hop and Snow Frolrc Onward 1nto the Junror year we accepted w1th pleasure our posrtron rn the second d1v1s1on w1th Rrchard Clrne, Presrdent Ronn Brown VICC Presrdent Dottre Myers Secretary Treasurer leadrng our drvrsron Nancy Werkert and Albert Shulley as re presentatrves of our class along w1th Becky Grngell V1ce Presrdent of Student Councrl were the brg attractron on the Student Councrl Float However some of the students rmssed Ih1S float because they were too busy admrrrng therr newly acqtured class rmgs trtled Moonlrght Crtuse After the parade many people ended the day w1th a hu morous play Qurt Your Krddrng drrected by Mrss McCleaf Alas' Steppmg hrgh we found ourselves rn the frrst d1v1s1on as Senrors Leadrng us through our fmal rrules were Rlchard Clrne Presrdent Albert Shulley V1ce Presrdent Julra Hartle Secretary Treasurer Tremendous applause was heard as the beautrful Stu dent Councrl Float appeared w1th Becky Grngell Presrdent Mary Farr and Roger Mrller as representatrves of our class wavrng to the cheerrng crowd as rt went by All at once there was a terrrfrc burst of laughter from the crowd when a float appeared w1th a hrlar rous scene from the play Tattletale What s a parade wrthout a clown' Thrs was a chocolate clown a candy clown advertrsrng our sale of Wolfgang candy Above the laughter could be heard the band playrng, Wmter Wonderland whrch rerrunded the spectators of the Joyous everung at the dance of the same name Nearrng the end of the parade members of the Yearbook Staff were dis' rbutlng the fourth ed1t1on of the FAIRHIAN among the crowd After the parade the crowd gathered for the brg event our Graduatronl As we marched toward the platform our mrnds were full of thoughts of the past our hard work both rn school and out our tnp to New York wluch was both educatronal and entertarn rng and then frnally Graduatron our reward for our labor As we leave Farrfreld Hrgh School, we wrsh to express our apprecratron to our ad vrsors Mrs Brshop and Mr Straup for therr gurdance and to our puncrpal Mr I.nsk1p who helped make these events possrble We shall be mrndful of the trme spent here and shall stnve to bnng honor to our school and communrty Thus w1th drplomas rn hand the class of 57 says farewell and marches rnto the future 'Z ' ll I ll Il ' V1 The very highspots of the entire parade were the Christmas Ball and the prom en-
