Freshmen I-fven though we are greenhorns in school ex- periences, we have had capable leadership through our class officers-Mackie Balkman, President, jim lflsberry, Vice-Presidentg and Pat Hamill, Secretary. linder the guidance of our fi ne Sponsors, Mr. Christian and Mr. Riley, we placed sec- ond in the Annual Race. Also, with their help, we are about to become the hest Soph- omore Class that ever participated in the activities of Fairfax High School. Time and experiences will produce a Senior Class to be proud of. This is the year of dreams where our high hopes will only he figments of our imag- ination until they will bloom into the actual products of our high school education. It is a great frontier opening to us as we discover each day the hidden secrets of the mystic world we find ourselves growing up in. Knowledge is not only found in text books as we are discovering as we picture ourselves on an equal with the adult Seniors then only to realize our small significance in the Fairfax four year cycle of activities. We close this year with the small drive in our hearts, that small acorns grow into large oak trees.
