7ww gras 2 - 'via The FHA and FFA had a swingin' good time at their two Barnwarmin's this year. The first one was September 29, 1962 and the second was March 9, 1963. Pete Bragg from Maryville was caller for both gay square dances. The Barnwarmin' of March 9 was a very special occasion, because the Chapter Sweetheart and Favorite FelloW were announced. The FFA Chapter Sweetheart, Eileen McCartney, was chosen by the FFA boys and presented with a Chapter Sweetheart jacket. The FHA Favorite Fellow, John Pearce, was chosen by the FHA girls and presented with a gift. Refreshments were furnished by the FHA girls. The caller was obtained by the FFA boys.

f ann ul: Mug? The boys started the year with the Freshman initiation. Their motto is Learn- ing to do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve. They attended the American Royal in Kansas City, Robert and Gary Thompson took first and second place in the Fall Corn Yield Contest sponsored by the local Kiwanis Club. They were present at John Deere Day in Tarkio. Money for their ,projects is earned by serv- ing at the lunch stand at football games and running the popcorn machine during all basketball games. The year was closed by the annual Parent-Son Banquet. Mr. J. Pyeatt is their sponsor. 31. ?.f4.- ?.fr'.f4. The F.H.A. , sponsored by Mrs. Raymond Mitchell, and the F. F.A. entertain- ed invited guests with two barnwarmings. At the first of the year was, of course, the Freshman initiation. In November the girls attended the F. H. A, Regional Meeting at the Maryville College. The organization held monthly meeting on the first Thurs- day of each month. The two chapter mothers are Mrs. Wayne Bradfield, and Mrs. Vernon Trauernicht.

Gala' Ghz 6016 The Girls' Glee Club,. under the direction of Mr. Corwin Elliot, participated in the Christmas concert and the spring concert. The latter consisted of several delightful selections including their two contest numbers. They received a II rating at the Maryville contests. Serum Swat T T The Senior Sextet has performed for the Sorosis, the Junior, Senior Banquet, Commencement, and participated in the Maryville Contests. This group has been instructed by Mr. Elliot who is leaving us this year. We the music students, would like to take this opportunity to thank him for all the ef- forts he has put forth in the five years he has taught us.
