Life in each direction is different. ln Spanish class the students learn the way of life to the south of us, while in Language Arts classes they learn why we speak and write in the man ner we do in the United States and Canada. A more detail- ed study of life is made in World His- tory. This includes the study of all na- tions, their history past and present. Maxx Around the world in 180 days. of America. . . ln Home Ec- onomics the girls have learned the basic foods, how to cook this food, how to sew, and how to make a home out of a house. This will undoubtedly be put to good use in their futures. The Agri- culture boys learn the art of carpen- try and also of welding. They study the types of soil and the way to test it. SC IENC E 8 In our coming age, science will be needed The students are first introduced to the subject in General Science, which touches on many phases of this field. In Chemistry class, the mysteries of science are explored further. The elements are studied, laboratory experiments are performed and charts are memorized. It is a subject that takes much time but is quite inetresting. Among other things, the study of Geometry is one which encourages you to think. You must learn the construction of squares, perpendiculars and trian les. Geometr is useful in man fields S Y Y such as art, architecture, and engineering. Today's students, who may be tomorrow's astronauts must have sound minds and bodies. It is said that American youth are not physically fit. But they are becoming educated in Physical Education and Health classes. CHEMISTRY
