Girls, Basketball Team Top Roi.: l.. Stoner. li. lbills. li. llavis. H. Green, U, lNleMahon, f'. Stoner, V. Cox, l . l2mg':ll'1l. I Bottom liow: T. t'arter. li. Neal. Capt. A. H. White, ll. Vombs, G. Donnell, ll. Smith, Voaeh H. Fi:-iller. The girls' lnasketlnall team started their season late in January. It was planned to start praetiee at Tarkio and have the team in condition to play when the new gym was opened. Numerous delays made this impossible and the girls were forced to play all their games on foreign courts. The squad eonsisted of raw recruits with the exception of A. E. White, Lillian Combs and Viola Cox. The praetiees were very irregular as we could use the gym only twiee a week. The team played three games but failed to break into the win column. In the first game at Tarkio, Captain White and V. Cox played exceptionally good lrasketlvall. The final sc-ore in this game was 116-l. The Rot-k Port tournament was the next venture and even if we failed to win, every one had a good time. The girls are not down-hearted and you ean just bet IL different story will be told next year. 4.
