u Theme -++2K++- v The Birds, great N11t14re's happy C07Il7l10?18I'S.U--ROZUE. I HE theme for The Coloniall' of l927 is The I Birds. I ' Z2 4 It does not take even the ardent love of our 'G ' feathered creatures, the birds, to appreciate in a degree at i least some value of this most significant part of the 1 animate world. To one, the bird means song, to one color, to one beauty of form and movement, to one a pest destroyer, and to another some other interest. To the -gif bird lover, the bird is all these and more, the bird is a constant source of pleasure and subject of interest, whose value can not be over estimated. As bird ' life ties in to human life, but does not dominate, it is to 'I , be hoped that our motif has tied in, to a degree, to the school life for the year 1927. It lf! iflt E141
