Laurie Beaton Best Dressed Susan Barren ' Wittiest Nancy Boyer Laziest Presley Merritt Best Personality Carol Sue Robinson Most Studious Susan Mackey Class Beauty Ann MacKinnon Most Lively to Succeed Linda Larkins Most Versatile supmiATim Bette Norwood Most Athletic Andrea Erskine Most Talented SENIOR PROPHECY It is a typical Saturday afternoon in China, fifteen years after the class of ’67 has descended the hill and walked away from the Fairfax campus. A noon gong sounds and Ping Choy and his friend, Foy Yong, stroll to their favorite restaurant, “The Smiling Buddha,” for their lunch. Following their chow mein. Ping announces, “The bes’ chow mein I eva eat. Time for dessert now.” With that he snaps his fingers and a short Chinese waiter hurries to the table with a basket of fortune cookies. Upon opening the first one it is revealed that Christie Carrico has made a name for herself by becoming the first woman to dog-paddle across the English Chan- nel. As Ping opens more cookies, it is disclosed that Sarah Evans is now in business for herself; she just recently opened up the Evans Beauty School where she is busy selling her beauty secret. lone Gates is a professional beatnik artist in the Village, while on the other side of New York City Anne Hathaway is modeling for Saks Fifth Avenue. Contrary to previous predictions, Mary Shepard has become the leading Copper- tone model. Nancy Boyer is now married and is living happily with her family and her ducks. Cherrie Duffy has employed her photographic talents to the fullest; she is now working for the CIA. Presley Merritt has opened her own personal dance studio, where she conducts private lessons on how to do the “philly dog.” Ellen Clough is famous for her new breed of horses which she raises herself. Allison Wright is now a world-renowned barber, specializing in men’s haircuts. After many years of practice Laura Jones has become one of the nurses on “General Hospital.” Ginney Williams designs her own swimming pools for girls’ schools and supervises their installation. Joyce Dicker is head cheerleader at Boston University. Andrea Erskine has traveled back to Europe and is a gondola singer in Venice. Laurie Beaton is busy every spring as emcee for the Apple Blossom Festival in Winchester. Debbie England is well-known for her improvements in the design of the Chesa- peake and Ohio railroad cars. Bette Norwood has become mayor of New Orleans and recently announced her intention to extend Mardi Gras to an all-year-’round 66 event. Betty Mahcry has won the Nobel Prize for her outstanding work in the field of eheniistry. Cindy Crawford and Mary Jane Toms have become a celebrated comedy team and appear regularly on the Soupy Sales Show, while Sharon Tierney is now a gO ' go girl in a welhknown night spot in New York. Meredith Freund has become the ambassador to Israel and Squeak Larkins has captured the leading role in the revised series of “National Velvet.” Ping Choy was obviously enjoying his afternoon activity and called for more tea and fortune cookies. Susan Mackey has moved to Arabia and is now happily married to eight husbands. Kathy Gould, a powerful orator in the U. S. Senate, is busy de- nouncing the practices of President Pyle, the first woman to hold the chief executive’s office. Mary Etter has become a clothes designer, while the famous singer, Angela Anthony, quickly buys up everything that Mary designs. Ann Montgomery surprised us all as she has become an instructor at Vic Tanny’s Gym, while Carol Sue Robinson is now an expert on the volley-ball court. Linda Marshall is busy as the first woman editor of Playboy magazine. Dottie Thrift has begun the Waynesboro subway service for commuters from town to Fairfax. Liz Matthews has a large following among her old friends as she conducts a morn- ing exercise program on TV. Anne Shipper has named her little two-year-old prod- igy “Liberace.” Carolyn Bailey is operating her own restaurant, “The Golden Drumstick,” and Gayle Roberts is busy training ten little Olympic swimmers. Laura Hudson’s picture appears in all the fashion magazines as she is a famous model for Hanes’ nylons. Sue Barren has become a world-renowned speech therapist. Leslie Faulds has taken over as Fishburne’s first social director, while Terry Scott is at the front of the line of strikers protesting the existence of F.M.S. Ann MacKinnon has become Duke’s official application decipherer. Angela Miller, putting her maternal instincts to good use, has been voted “Mother of the Year.” Barbara Lange, as quiet as ever, is the author of several famous horsemanship books. After finishing all of the fortune cookies. Ping Choy sighs contentedly, and says, “Very good fortunes. Old Chinese proverb say: ’Que sera, sera; what will be, will be.’ I hope everybody happy.” (i7 Seated: Ellen Clark, Norah Ray, Clare Wehher Standing: Libby Sprunt, Miss Luckett FRESHMAN CLASS OFFICERS Ellen Clark Libby Sprunt Clare Webber Norah Ray Miss Cathy Luckett President Vice President Secretary Treasurer Sfronsor 70 Leslie Bearce Miami, Florida Julia Brownley Petersburg, Virginia Susan Brust Thurmont, Maryland Charlotte Bush Dandridge, Tennessee Ellen Clark La Oroya, Peru Georgette Constant Norfolk, Virginia Helen (Dede) Davis Houston, Texas Joyce Fejes Orrville, Ohio Cheryl Fitzgerald Great Falls, Virginia Susan Gaines Georgetown, Kentucky Linda Hartman Scverna Park, Maryland Felicia Huffman Staunton, Virginia Linda Huston Curacao, Netherlands Antilles Susan Hutchinson Palisades Park, New Jersey Amy Hoar Old Saybrook, Connecticut Cecelia Joseph Hopewell, Virginia Claudia Knapp Charleston, West Virginia Martha Marshall Raleigh, North Carolina Linda Lewis New York, New York Kathy Light Washington, D.
