On Golden Pond? FCHS students are hooked on fishing! This year, for the first time, PE classes went fishing. The classes learned how to bait hooks, cast a rod and reel, and look for the best fishing spots. Dedication Eugene F. Wessels, a member of the class of ’83, was taken from us on June 14, 1981. Although he is no longer physically with us, our memories of him will remain with us forever. He touched all of our lives and we each loved him in our own special way. He was a member of FFA, 4-H, the Methodist Church, MYF, and football. There is a scholarship given out at graduation in the field of agriculture which is in Eugene’s honor. His main pastimes were farming, cars, and girls, but not necessarily in that order. He was an outdoors person, and we’ll always remember his crazy sense of humor. We thank God for leaving a part of Eugene in each of our hearts.
