In Dedication To John Broquard John Broquard was someone weâll always remember and admire because of his courage to go on living and accept the good with the bad. He was bright, cheery and always smiling - out the outside, although maybe on the inside it wasnât always bright and happy. He was able to fight and very determined to live. He like farming and the outdoors, he liked tractors and animals. He got along well with everyone, and his family ties were strong. Before he died he gave his life to God. He didnât like to see people hurting other people. He believed that, in Godâs eyes, all people were created equal. He gave everyone who knew him a most cherished and loved gift - a gift that will never break or die, grow old or useless. He gave us himself. Memory â Mrs. Mildred MY MEMORY Put my memory in your pocket, Take it with you through the day. Tuck it underneath your pillow when the sun has gone away. Let it be a sweet reminder of the happiness we knew. Spring Play - âAh Wilderness!â In a small-town in 1906 lives an ordinary American family. The Miller family are typical in their humors and annoyances. They are average folk, faced by average problems, and they have the strength to solve them. What concerns them most in âAh, Wilderness!â is the youthful earnestness of Richars Miller, who is a senior in high school and a rebel. He reads the shocking literature of the day, and his mother worries. Richard acts like a young anarchist; He hates capital and his father is concerned. He is passionately in love with a neighborâs girl, Muriel McComber, and means to marry her. The love letters filled with mature poetry that he sends to her alarms her father, David McComber, who forces her to break with Richard in good, melodramatic style. Being young and arrogant, Richard runs amuck to spite her, and gets drunk in the company of an older woman at a hotel barroom. His father and mother are sure that the world has come to an end. But Muriel proves her love to Richard at a moonlit rendezvous on the beach and he is himself again. After everything had been settled maturally, the father and mother remember that once they were young and in love. The Miller family-bottom: L. Luttrell, B. Allonge, R. Metz, and W. Moulton; top: A.
