The flags performed in the field show at the U, of l. Band Day. Kim Jenkins and Gina Hofmann showed how to do high kicks. Illusions of the Tartarette light routine. Tanya Secoquian shook her pompons to the beat of the music. The Tartarettes linked arms for part of their half-time routine. Tartarettes did their own version of London Bridge. Get It on! The Marching Flags and Tartarettes both had a very successful season. The Flags placed lst in the Class C ISU Field Show and U of I Parade. The Tartarettes had many original half-time routines such as the GREASE MEDLEY using flares and lights inthe dark, LAST DANCE using red, yellow, blue, and green discs, OVER TI-IE RAINBOW using umbrellas, and the '79 SENIOR ROUTINE to the WIZZ using disco hand routines. The '80 SENIOR ROUTINE was a pom-pon and kick line to the music WALK HIM UP THE STAIRS. The captains for this season were Jan Magee and Kim Schahrer, seniors and Gina I-Iofmann, junior. 5:53:35 93.
