The chorus and cast ended in the grand finale of You're Doin' Fine Oklahoma, Oklahoma, O.K. Jud Fry, portrayed by Quinn Zehr, shows rival Curly McClain, portrayed by Tim Shannon, some of his favorite post cards. The girls and Laurey sang Many a New Day after Curly left with Gertie Cummings. In the dream ballet, the cowboys rode in on their pretend horses. Curly and Laurey sang People Will Say We're ln Love to express their feelings to each other. Aunt Eller, portrayed by Susan Fredrick, sat at her butter churn as the sun rose over the meadow, Will Parker CSam Alpersj gives Ado Annie CCarolyn Kokotekj an Oklahoma Hello. FOI-IS Presents. . . Oklahoma America's favorite musical, Oklahoma, was brought to the FCHS stage on Nov. 16 and 17 under the direc- tion of David Fuller, Marjorie Mosier, music director, and Joan Fleck of the Pontiac Township High School, cho- reographer. The '42 musical, by Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein ll, features a variety of top songs, including, Oh What A Beautiful Mornin', The Surrey With The Fringe On Top, and Kansas City. More than 40 students participated in the production as characters in turn-of-century dress, swaggering cowboys in denims, high-stepping showgirls, dancers, chorus members, and stage hands. 1 . 3. ,ff tr - 4.

Oklahoma . . O.K.l Oklahoma is the story ot the courtship of Laurey Williams by two rivals - a wholesome, attractive cowboy named Curly McLain and a sinister farmhand named Jud Fry, The matter of which of them will escort Laurey to a box social is her dilemma and their problem. Oklahoma was a huge success with the community as well as the students.
