Freshman and Sophomore attendants Roger Bachtold and Danny Thames had a chuckle during the halftime show Class attendants were Tina Schonians, freshmang Tina Bachtold, sophomoreg Susan Broquard, junior. Members of the senior court were Becky Thames and Jan Magee. Senior court members Laurie Bazzell and Diane Broquard smiled at the fans, Senior football players and cheerleaders boogied to Doo-Wah-Doo-Wah. Crown bearers for the coronation were Stephanie Nylander and Jason Moser. Queen Jill McCulloh and King Mark Rathbun enjoyed the sunny afternoon parade route. The F.F.A. float: Load 'em up and spread 'em out! The gym was decorated to the theme of Grand Illusion, Hansel and Gretel are stirring up a Tartar Victory was the theme for the senior float. The Grand lllusion The Cheerleaders kicked off Homecoming week by selling Tartar Pins on Spirit Day. Other Homecoming activities included Crazy Socks Day, Crazy Hair Day, l-lat Day, and Green Sr Gold Day on Friday. The Pep Assembly on Friday afternoon was highlighted by a SVC Horse race by the cheerleaders with Tommy Tartar being the winner. The cheerleaders also provided each football player with a Big Mac box filled with goodies and a decorated pillow case to get them dreaming about a Tartar victory. The fans were also entertained by the football players attempting to dance to the cheer Doo-wap-doo-wap with the cheerleaders. Student Council President Steve Mildred concluded the pep assembly by announcing the '79 Homecoming King and Queen - Mark Rathbun and Jill McCulloh. ff' 1. 2. 3. 4.

Homecoming '79 - Fairy Tales The Homecoming Parade, with a Fairy Tales theme, included class floats, homecoming court and attend- ants, the F-C Marching Tarters, and the F-C Alumni Band. Winners of the float competition were lst - Jr. High, 2nd - Senior Class, 3rd - Sophomore Class, 4th - Freshman Class, and 5th -- Junior Class. At 7:00 that evening, the football Tartars met the Deland-Weldon Eagles. The Tarters were victorious with a victory of 21-O. Saturday evening, couples danced to the music of Sunsinger. Queen Jill lVlcCulloh and King Mark Ftathbun were crowned at the 10:00 coronation ceremonies.
