Entertainment at Banquet Due to past lack of interest, the future of Prom Banquet fell on the shoulders of the Juniors. They faced the question of whether it was better to continue the banquet tradition or to forget it and save the money for a better Prom band. After much discussion, it was decided to continue the banquet for another year with the addition of entertainment after the meal. Mime, Doug Day performed several different mimes that evening. Many people could identify with his portrayal of a boy preparing for his first date. 1. Barb Moulton, Scott Jones, and Sam Furrer helped Nikta enjoy her prom at FCHS. 2. Senior, Rod Cottrell gave Junior, Carol Thames a word of thanks for the Junior's work on Prom. 3. The Countrymen” provided the music at Prom. 4. The Junior's long hours of work seemed to pay off because Prom was enjoyed by all. 19

1. Janet Smith and her date discussed what After-Prom activities the Junior par ents had planned. 2. Taking advantage of the slower beat, Mr Winn and his wife joined the other dancing couples. 3. Ben Kafer and Carol Kelson could have danced all night. 4. Hearing rumors ahead of time, Tom Hedrick and Debbie Holland laughed over the Prophesy” and Will. 18

See How They Run. . . For the Spring of 1978, FCH presented the play, See How They Run. The play involved nine simple characters who unknowingly become involved in a major chaos. With comedy on their side, the cast made the play a success. 1. Ida told the Bishop and Penelope Toop the secret of the closet. 2. Dan Noe helped raise money for the play at the Bake Sale. 3. Sgt. Tower kept the Russian Spy covered while help was on the way. 4. Humphrey decided his stay had been long enough. 5. Miss Skil-lion could not control her emotions with Lionel Toop. 6. The Vicar pursued the Russian Spy throughout the play. 7. Sgt. Tower tried to solve the mystery of the real Vicar 8. The Russian Spy made sure that Penelope would cover for him. 20
