Parlez- Vous Francais Rinnette Gatel, of Dompoup, France, arrived on August 7, 1975, to live with the Robert Curtiss family for the 75-76 school year. During her stay here, she participated in school organizations and events, visited Brookfield Zoo in Chicago, taught a French class, learned how to sew, gave talks, and went fishing in Canada. Some of the organizations Rin-ette participated in were GAA, FHA, and Student Council. She was a co-manager for the volleyball team and a member of Sweetheart Court. Rinette's favorite course was Home Economics in which she learned how to sew. She embroidered a baby quilt for her home project in Home Ec. Rinette said her most memorable experience here was meeting friends and learning from them. Having completed high school in France before coming to the U.S., she hopes to attend a university on her return and study either political science or international relations. On July 5th, Rinette left Fair-bury to travel through eastern U.S. and on the 14th she left Washington, D.C. to return home to her parents and two sisters in Dompoup.
