FOREWORD . . . For years adults have been addressing students with this familiar advice: So you are in high school'5 You should enjoy it while you can, because your high school days are the best years of your life. How do we react to this? A Freshman, who has seen eight years of studying with little outside activity, will usually disagree. To him SCHOOL means WORK. A Sophomore has a year of high school under his belt. He is undecided on this issue. A Junior hears his elders, and agrees that there might be some truth to that statement. He has come to associate HIGH SCHOOL with FRIENDS and ACTIVITIES, as well as STUDY. By the time a student becomes a Senior, however, he has been persuaded. Those adults knew what they were talking about! High School is a delightful combination of enjoyment and education. Although the purpose of our coming together is to learn from the STACKS OF BOOKS that always accompany us, we still enjoy more liberty than we have in the past, and the future holds higher responsibility as we pursue higher education, the service of our government or a job. The purpose of our yearbook is to place on record the people and activities associated with 1966-67, one of our BEST YEARS. We hope that the CRIER will be a source of pleasant memories in the days to come. B. H.
