The program opened Thursday,'October 14, with a bonfire. On October 15, there was a Homecoming parade honoring our ’55 queen, Sharron Bolliger. The parade followed the theme of Fairbury High School during the past sixty years. Serenaders make with the hot notes in an assembly. 25 — Thanksgiving Day — We are very thankful for a day of rest and relaxation. DECEMBER 1 — A bad way to start out the new month, seniors frantically finish their history term papers in time to get their (groan) report cards. 2 — Dixie R. takes private lessons from Miss Sharp after school. Do you really like Latin that well, Dixie? 3 — Seniors go on all out campaign to sell “Criers'. Come on kids, we’ll be cryin’ if you don’t help us pay for them! 6 - Questionaire: Does Miss McCloskey spend all her time teaching? 7 - Jo W. wows everyone with her trumpet solo at the exchange concert in Chenoa. Ron T. was the hero of the game when he plunked two free throws to win a double over time 59-57 from Gridley. 8 — Nothing happened worth repeating, but just wait! 9 - High School Band gave their Winter Concert. Everyone thought the concert was good except the director. 10 - We lost to U. High by two heartbreaking points. Where were you Alice Jo, “rock' hunting with your boyfriend? 13 — Our senior pictures arrived today. One senior remarked, “It sure is too bad, my pictures look just like me! 14 — 11 days until Christmas — have all you kiddies written to Santa Claus yet? 15 — We’d like to know the secret of Tery E.’s masculine charm. He has two sophomore girls fighting over him at the same time! M Uf -----fef— 16 - A suggestion box is put up in the hall. Wonder what kind of suggestions student council will get? 17 — After a lot of hard work, we give an “allschool Christmas Chorus Concert. Will the first graders be such darling angels eleven years from now? 20 - Mr. Graf tries to show 4th hour P.E. class how to play volley ball. Was the floor hard, Mr. Graf? 21 — Beverly H., Joan R., and Lara W. turn Girls Chorus into a sewing circle with their chatter and embroidery work. 22 - It took Carlos and Warren half the afternoon to take Mrs. BesGrove’s Christmas scenery to Cropsey. A strong wind, wasn’t it boys? 23 — All school Christmas party. Everybody wishes everybody a Merry Christmas and uh, oh, those plans for N®w Year’s Eve. JANUARY 3 — Juniors lose no time over vacation. Judy T. and Duane B. are now going steady. Judy R. had Bill C.’s ring for a few days. What happened, didn't you like the size of his ring, Judy? 4 - Mr. Rife blinds his classes with his orange bow tie. A Christmas present from his mother-in-law, he says! 5 — Certain boys decide to get striped shirts with numbers, because the faculty is becoming too strict. 6 — Sophomores show pictures of New Year’s Eve party. My, my, what will they be like when they’re seniors? 7 — A few chemistry students think of drastic steps to take before test. Which is better, to swallow acid, or put tacks on the road and let the air out of the tires of o certain teacher’s car? 10 - Melodious music comes floating from the chorus room. F.F.A. boys are practicing for Family Night. 11 - Margaret, Pat, and Tommy K.are now known as the “Chickenpox Kids . We thought Tommy was too onery to be laid up for two weeks. 12 - Students burn the old midnight oil studying for semesters. 13 — Another day of cramming. FEBRUARY 1 — A trophy was awarded to our basketball boys for second place in the invitational Tournament. Good work, boys 2 - Annual Polio Auction. Wiat is that little freshman boy going to do with Mr. Graf’s lab coat? 3 — Mr. Wagner tells the Serenaders that they can’t join the Union. They're very sad. 4 - Delores K. got on the wrong bus after the game. When did you realize your mistake, Delores, when you heard the wolf whistles? 7 — Some people couldn’t tell whether they were coming or going last Saturday night. (We knew this a long time ago but we had to put something romantic for Valentine’s Day!) 15 - Now that Mr. Wagner has agreed to let the Serenaders join the Union they don’t want too.
