1 3 4 6 . . 14 CHIEF COUNCILMEN 15 16 Principal's Message Dear Students, This school year has been a challenging one, filled with major and minor changes. However, these changes were met adequately by the staff and student body, and we had a good school year. As it comes to an end for those who will close out their high school career and the returning individuals who will move one step closer to gradua- tion, I am concerned that we all recognize and be prepared for the tasks before us. For those who are leaving FAIR PARK, your tasks before you will reflect decisions made in reference to post-secondary schooling, employment, military service, marital status, adult responsibility and productivity, and from a different respect — family rel- ationships. For returning students, your tasks include a greater intensity on your part to achieve the learning objectives, recognizable matured peer relationships, and child- parent relationships exhibiting behavior of more responsibility. Your success and achievements will depend primarily upon a positive attitude approach toward these tasks. To those of you who are leaving us, may you have success in all your endeavors. To those returning, FAIR PARK High School is yours, to aid you in achieving those educa- tional objectives necessary for your development into more responsible — productive citizens. Sincerely, 17 18 20 Spanish I, II, and III, English I B.A. Northwestern State University test Hobbies: Playing bridge, playing with grand- children, attending football, baseball, and basketball games, reading, and keeping track of her children. How would you make arrangements for the big ballgame? How would you contact your friends for help with your homework? How would the young men make their dates? How would the young women break them? The telephone has become a necessary part of the American way of life. And, at Western Electric’s Shreveport Works, we make more telephones than any other facility in the world. Western Electric is proud to be a part of the Ark-La-Tex and we are proud of today’s students who will be tomorrow’s leaders. Only through a quality education can you be prepared to assume this pos- ition. As John Denver puts it in “The Eagle and The Hawk : Reach for the Heavens; hope for the future and all that you can be, not just what you are.” Our employees — some of whom attended Fair Park High School — have made Shreveport the “Telephone Capital of the World.” Perhaps you will help us continue this tradi- tion when you complete your formal education. es TRUCK DRIVERS OSCAR CLOYD INC.
