X I May May is a glamorous month tor Iuniors and Seniors at F. P. H. S. Iuniors order their rings to make sure that by the opening of school they can begin their senior year properly bedecked. The big decision must be made, shall the ring be set with a red or blue stone? New 'dia '52 Seniors are confronted with stacks ot invita- tions to be addressed to relatives and friends and a whirl oi activities during Senior Week. Everyone experiences tinal exams and upon the last day each sighs and inwardly says, No school tor three months. Hurrah!

April '52 Holiday in Dixie, coming in April, is heartily participated in by the students of Fair Park. ln the i952 parade a Shrimp Boat floated down Texas Street manned by Fair Park students, the wood work and art students having combined their efforts in its construction. The Fair Park Band as a part of the parade delighted bystanders with appropriate music. Coinciding with this event was Fair Park's own private celebration, sponsored by the Student Council, Dixie Day. An evening picnic on the stands behind the school, a talent show in the auditorium and later a dance in the cafeteria are Fair Parks Way of celebrating Holiday in Dixie. Another entertainment furnished during this month is the annual assembly program presentf ed by the publications' staffs. The news! paper and yearbook staffs united their forces to provide the students with a delightful tale of an editor's Woes. Fight f

lune luly Au ust For some students May does not spell the last day ot school. These are the students diligent enough to attend school twelve weeks during the surn- mer. Even though they are going to school, the hot, lazy summer mornings stimulate beautiful day dreams. Oh, to be fishing on a day like this, with the sun shining brightly on the water. Or perhaps skimming along lightly on roller skates. Or even preparing for next winter's hunting trip, remembering what a success the last one was. Then Mrs. Lottie Mae Ross with her record book pushes aside all thoughts of sports. Did she record last year's credits? Better check to make sure. Startled into reality the student awakes, possibly in Mr. E. H. Herron's algebra class or Mr. Roy Wilson's history or economics class. Experiencing their classes are two opportunities that are not available during the winter semes- ter. lt takes strength of character to attend summer school when everyone else is on vacation. Ten
