SPORTS A boy caught stealing second base has never been caught stealing a car. These words have been proven true many times during the past with reference to the youth of our country. It places a tremendous responsibility on a school to see that every boy has a chance to partici- pate in the sport that best suits his individual needs. Although we strive to win, winning should not be the main purpose of any athletic program. A good sports program must set up standards of scholarship, citizenship, and conduct which will carry over into adulthood. This type of pro- gram takes a great deal of money and a great deal of cooperation from a community as well as the sincere effort of the school in working with the youth of today. When this takes place, the obvious result is that it does Pay to Play.
