CLASS PROPHECY Well, here it is — 1962, It has been exactly ten short years since fourteen young people, eligible to enter the big wide wonderful world, graduated from dear old Fair Oaks. We shall long remember those graduation exercises, but now on this beautiful May evening we are on our way to attend The Reunion of the Class of '52 , As I park my big Cadillac Convertible, I notice the big beautiful mansion in front of me. Guess who the owner is and who the hostess will be for tonight! None other than Mrs. Ron- ald Porter, the former Betty Gilmore. As the butler opens the door I am surprised to See it is Delos Shaw. He has been work- ing at the Porter's residence for Five years. As the guests en- ter, Mrs. Porter comes to welcome them, As I glance around the room I see at the first table, Melvin ey the world's famous jet pilot working with the ry tes Air Force and, of course, Nancy is there also. Sitting with Mr. and Mrs. Murphy are Ralph Myers and his wife. Ole is known around the world as the great car designer for the MYEROMOBILE COMPANY. Seated at the next table is Doctor Thomas Cover, Professor Ronald Cox, and Mr. Carl Schleman. Tommy is a psychiatrist at the Institution in Kankakee, Illinois. Ronnie, one of the great professors at the State University, is the Head of the Athletic Department, - Carl is a successful dress designer from Paris and has made a special trip to this country just to attend the reunion.. He has made several original dress designs and we understand that he is . doing quite well. At the next table we see Major-and Mrs. Dar—— rough. Mrs. Darrough is the former Sue Williams. At the pre- sent they are living in South Dakota. Sitting with Major and Mrs. Darrough are Mr. and Mrs. Bud Lindahl. You will remember Mrs. Lindahl .as the former pe Miller. They raise cows, pigs, chickens, and a few little 8 ona big ranch. near Fair Oaks. Over here we see General and Mrs. Robert W. -Simonin, the former Marlene Dunn. Marlene recently returned from a trip to Europe. “Sitting with General and Mrs. Simonin are Mr. we Harrington and wife, and Mr, sory Armstrong and wife. Doyle is a great artist now residing in ie. He has his own art gallery Jerry also lives in Rome and is acting as Doyle's assistant, helping him sell his famous paintings. Sitting over there I see Miss Geraldine Longstreth, one of the world's greatest organists now living in New fore City. She has just returned from a world wide tour. Sitting with Geraldine I see world renown, Miss Charlene Schima, Queen of Rollerskating. Charlene has her own troupe and travels across the United States as well as Europes As for me, I am Miss Schima's chauffeur. I was just peek- ing in the window.
