j iiLi Class Prophecy Listen, my children, and you shall hear The fate of the class of the 57th. year. Everyone thought I'd settle down But not me, I'm still roming around. ‘A foreign correspondent I came to be And on many of my journeys. My classmates I see. Once while doing a feature on a gambling house, Border of the South Whose owner. Bill Armentrout, and his big mouth. Spilled information to Carolyn Barefoot, a woman detective. Which led to a raid very unexpected. Doug Hill and Tony Hill are down south too. Professors in college they chose to be. Doug at the University of Florida as coach of athletics. Tony is at Bob Jones directing dramatics. Mary Frances Coggins, the author, has retired to her summer home. To finish her book, THE CRYSTAL DOME. Arlen Leonard is also traveling many places. And winning so many stock car races. Toward the north many of my classmates moved. Their abilities to succeed they proved. Sherby Cranford and Gaye Kearns are modeling in New York now. They're really making the money-----Wow! Haru Hancock, who always took her work to heart. Has chosen her career in Commerical Art. Barbara and Texie Underwood had their eyes on a star. Air-line hostesses they now are. Jo Ann Jenkins and Edward Kennedy are in the medical field. Their service to life, a bontiful field, A nurse at John Hopkins is Jo Ann Lending to Edward, a famous surgeon, a helping hand. Gary Surratt, a cartoonist well known. Working in Chicago his success has grown. Once while reading my paper I recognized these names, Lawrence Albright and Lawrence Leonard have risen to fame. Lawrence Albright is North Carolina's governor, newly elected. As secretary to Agriculture, Lawrence Leonard was selected. Shirley Watford, who was always quiet. Finds her work as a librarian just right. A few of my classmates stayed in the home town. But interesting jobs they still found. Shirley Hulin and Betty Sparks have a kindergarden to direct their attention. The name of it I will not mention. Ersa Hughes now spends her leisure hours Caring for her two children and her many beautiful flowers. Clara Sue Bryant, the smartest one of all. Is now in Hollywood having herself a ball. Bill Elberson, the guy with the ears. Has become a business success down through the years. Randall Hepler, with a degree from college. Became a great evangelist preacher; While our crazy Bugs Snider became a great science teacher. Betty Hill, whom we all knew would succeed. Is now a nurse, administering to sick peoples needs. Gary Kennedy is now a famous minster To help in the end is his intention. To succeed in the end was our aim! Success and happiness to all of us came. ROSA BUIE Class Prophetess

Last Will and Testament i We, the Senior Class of Fair Grove High School, knowing that we will soon be departing from the sound of bells and dis- continuing our daily drudge of lessons to a field of work much more complex, without the guidance and kind assistance of our beloved teachers, do hereby put an end to our carefree days, and declare this to be our Last Will and Testament. ARTICLE I To our principal, Mr. E. T. Kearns, Jr., we leave our sincere appreciation for his enduring faithfulness and ready assis- tance rendered to us during these past years. ARTICLE II To the faculty, we leave our thanks and appreciation for their patience and efforts in making our school days profitable. ARTICLE III To our parents for their affectionate care and faithful trust, we reserve our eternal love and gratitude, with the hope that our lives may be as successful as are their fondest dreams for us. Jo Ann Jenkins wills her ability to tie neck scarves to Patsy Adams and her blue eyes to Prema Byerly. Lawrence Albright wills his ability to be late to Anne Suggs and his football suit to Bobby Pierce. Bill Armentrout wills his trumpet to Leon Albright and his brown eyes to Donald Perry. Doug Hill wills his Buick to Linda Hilton and his ability to play basketball to Nancy Bodenheimer. Arlen Leonard wills his ability to do physics to Judy Fowler. Mary Frances Coggins wills her ability to use a typing eraser to Nancy Martin in hopes that she doesn't need it. Betty Hill wills her ability to get along with Mrs. Fowler to Clay Poole and her quiet ways to Anne Suggs. Gary Kennedy wills his curly hair to Jerry Kilcrease and his brown eyes to Nancy Martin. Edward Kennedy wills his school bus. No. 40, to Dickie Fleming. Rosa Buie wills her ability to drive to Jean Albright and her nickname Bull to Chalmous Sechrist. Shirley Hulin wills her seat in typing to Fred Huskins and her bus route to Peggy Nicholson. Clara Sue Bryant wills her position as editor of the annual to Dollie Bolden and her blond hair to Boyce Bodenheimer. Tony Hill wills his English book to Boyce Bodenheimer and his brown and blue eyes to Dickie Fleming. Jerry Floyd wills his ability to learn English to Jerry Crump and his straight A report card to Eddie Jones. Randall Hepler wills his height to Jerry Koontz and his good looks to Dollie Bolden. Betty Sparks wills her seat in bookkeeping and the remainder of her bookkeeping notebook to Alice Elliott. Ersa Lee Hughes wills her ability to go steady to Jonie Nelson. Carolyn Barefoot wills her ability to collect class rings to Shirley Small. Shirley Watford wills her straight bangs to Shelby Beck. Barbara Underwood wills her cheerleading suit to Prema Byerly and her bus. No. 91, to Patsy Adams. Texie Underwood wills her blond hair and blue eyes to Barbara Curry. And I, Gaye Kearns, will my majorette suit to Dale Everhart and my majorette class to Hollis Blair. To The Class of '58 and '59 We leave all the sure ways we have of getting out of classes; and our sincere wish that their Senior year will be as full and enjoyable as ours has been.
