Kittens tur ned in a highly successful 1952 basketball season, o nly losing out for top dis- trict honor s in a three-game try with Van Horn. Fir st Van Horn a nd Fabens were tied for district cham- pion, and the Kittens lost the second and thir d games of the suspenseful play-off. Miss Wynnell Elliott c o a c he d the Fabens team. The Kitte ns are expecting another good year in '53 s ince they will lose only two team members--Seniors Delia Rivera and lrene Holguin, both forwards.
