41. i PREPARATION FOR A PARADE Everyone loves a parade,and Fabens students are no ex- ception. The above picture shows students decorating the cars that w e r e driven in the Homecoming Day parade which wound throughout Fabens on the afternoon of the big game, led by the Pep Squad and nominees for football queen. DICK ORR SABINO SIERRA Guard Back WILDCATS RUIN CLINT HOMECOMING The picture below records a play in the Cats' next to last game of the season. lt was Clint's homecoming, and the Lion squad was out to cop a vict or y for the year. The Fabens first string started the game a nd led 13-6 at the end of the second quarter, with the little Cats playing until the la st minutes of the third quarter. Then the first string came back into the game in the fourth stanza and crossed the double stripe once again. The Lions scored their second touc hd own in the last few minutes of the game on a forward pass c ompletion. The contest ended 19-13 in the Wildcats' favor.
