Bonnie Dierolf, Donna Spatz, Annamarie O’Hearn, Mary Jo Corso, Sue Deach, Karin Wulkowicz, Ida Miller, Laurie Yoder, Holly Allwein, Beckie Yoder Chorus To the Student Body, Faculty, and Administration of Exeter Township School District: The PIONEER Staff of 1979 hopes that this yearbook has been a refreshing experience. We attempted to put together a yearbook with a touch of uniqueness. This flip flop book, (as the yearbook company called it), took a great deal of work and time. From September to the middle of July we worked diligently. Hopefully your wait has been worth it. Now, I personally wish that you as the reader have enjoyed the 1979 PIONEER and that it will serve as a reminder of the fond memories of this year (especially for the Seniors). One last thanks to all of those who cooperated with us in order to make this book possible: the Faculty especially on picture taking days, the Student Body, the high school office personnel who answered our numerous questions, our two photographers, the sponsers, the contributors, the patrons, everyone else that I could not possibly begin to list, and you who have bought this book. Donna L. Snyder Editor-in-Chief, 1979 To Mr. Shank and the PIONEER Staff of 1979: What can I say? We have certainly come a long way from trees to an upside down book. The job seemed gigantic at the beginning, but now our ideas, time and effort has been neatly bound into one book. We have spent a great deal of time together, got to know one another better, learned to accept each others idiosyncrasies, and had many laughs. I know I will miss going into the dear old Room 122 with its “hard at work” Staff members and subtle Advisor. A special thanks to Sara for taking charge of the Senior section, to Lisha for always being there ready at hand to work on any section I handed you, to Holly with all your jokes, to Jamie when you popped in, to Kim and your batons, to “nutty” Shirl, to Adrienne and Brooke as my two favorite typists, to Don hang in there, to Pam, Chris, Kathy, Sue, Mary, and Dan keep working at it because each of your special talents will be needed in the coming year, to Miss Batastini and the Business Staff for without you we could have never begun to afford a yearbook, and finally, last but definitely not least, Mr. Shank. I will not even try to give a description of everything you have done for this yearbook because that would be absolutely impossible.'You will always be greatly admired by me and a very special thanks to you. To the whole Staff, thanks again, and for those who will become the future yearbook staff members, remember: “There are few, if any, jobs in which ability alone is sufficient. Needed also are loyalty, sincerity, enthusiasm, and cooperation.” (Quoted from Bits and Pieces) 1979 PIONEER SPONSERS NICK’S CHATAWHILE PURDON’S HOUSE OF PHOTOGRAPHY C.P.
