A Winning Tradition Proud, Dedicated, Accomplished, Talented, Tired, Tough, Rowdy, Loud, Musical, Rough, Hungry, Forceful, Winners, Individuals, Teams, Spirited, Spontaneous. The Exeter Eagles were in full force again this year when they won the Crossroads Conference Sweepstakes Trophy for the second year in a row. The Entire Eagle Force contributed to this elite honor by participating in one or more of the following: Band, Volleyball, Football, One-Acts, Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, The CRC Sweepstake Trophy is taken for a Force. Speech, Girls Track, and Boys Track. Not only did these teams help contribute to the trophy, they sent members on to State Competition and placed very well. It took pride, dedication and hard work to accomplish all this over the year and we are very proud. 00 ° The Big Game It is the day before the big game with the Exeter Eagles. A lone quarterback sits nervously in an empty locker room, contemplating his strategy. He has heard rumors of an Eagle Secret Weapon. It has been referred to as “The Wall” As the leader of the team he must head the assault. So many teams have challenged “The Wall” and fallen like Humpty-Dumpty, cracked and crumpled. Thanks to Scott “Cornerstone” Jasinski and the rest of the Eagle line, the victims out number the victors. Quarterbacks Ben Horne, Aarik Jensen and Mark Becker provided the Eagles with a strong passing game with 79 completions 164 attempts for 1151 yards and 13 TDs. Yard hungry rushers Matt Manning (438yds), Darin Hassler (278 yds), Aarik Jensen (204 yds), Ben Horne (155yds), and John Bonta (87yds), provided the Eagles with a total of 1332 rushing yards. The Eagles out scored their opponents 291-144. They finished their season with a 7-2 Elite Record.
