Seventh Grade Eighth Grade Rowdy, Unique, Althletic, Fighters, Unusual, Obnoxious, Bold, Young, Simple, Naive, Happy, Hiper. Junior High. What can we say but O-WOW. What do they do but hang in limbo. They are no longer children and not yet teenagers. They do, however, achieve great success in athletics. By working together, the football team crushed two of their opponents, Deshler (30-0) and Marquette (60-0). Their losses were to Polk-Hordville (8- 42) and (6-22). They ended their season with a 2-2 record. In basketball, both teams won the Southern CRC Championship, their only season loss came in the CRC Playoffs. Both teams ended their season in second place in the conference. The track teams attended four meets. Girls track placed 8th, 5th, 5th, and 4th. Christy Schwab set a record in the 1200m run with a time of 4:20. Boys track placed 4th, 1st, 3rd, and 4th. Jon Nichols set a school record in the open 400 with a time of 55.49. Good work, Junior Eagles! Dog Pile! A noon past time.
