For Your Eyes Only Prom 1982 had various points of interest, such as this scene with the picturesque background and bridge. The fountain was used for refreshments at the dance, which was provided with music by the radio station KFRX. At left, Senior girls look at their prom book- lets with an interested expression. Below is shown another scenic area which included a stream crossed by the bridge. At left, Janice Harre and Carol Zajicek put on a smile at deco- rating time. 1982 Jr. - Sr. Prom This year’s prom theme was “For Your Eyes Only.” The Legion Hall was decorated very well, and included pastel colored streamers and this backdrop (left) behind the head table. Entertainment was provided by the reading of Senior will and bequeaths, class prophecy, and history. Doug Papik and Rich Horne help out with getting ready for prom (left). Joe Morton “appears” to be enjoying himself as he too contributes his help. “Let’s Get Musical” A highlight of the banquet was pantomine acting to the melodrama, “Maxwell Norman.” Above is Mrs. Joy, who served as emcee. Below, Mrs. Joy, the Huskey’s, and the Gallup’s chat and wait for the night’s entertainment. 19 Music Banquet 1982 Lois, Dacel, Mike, and Warren, make music by singing, with the accompaniment of Mrs. Wellman on the bass fiddle. Providing the singing for “Maxwell Norman” was Janice, Denise, and Mike, shown above. Janice is also shown below performing her solo part. As part of the night’s entertainment, the vocal group sang a medley of country songs. Below, Jean sings her part of the medley. 20 Athletic Banquet Well Attended Rhonda Kuhl was named this year’ outstanding girl athlete. Jay Luzum was presented the Kenny McLeese football award by Mr. Fitzger- ald. Football letters and certifi- cates were awarded by Mr. Alvis. Mr. Wilbeck presented the volleyball awards. Steve Krejci received the best team player for boys. Mark Manning was the toastmaster for the evening. Below, Lyle Koca is awarded by Mr. Shafer for Cross Country. Mrs. Betka gave out Pep Club pins, and introduced next year’s cheerleaders and drill team. Many Awards At Honor’s Alight Honor’s Night was held May 17, 1982 at the Exeter High School gym. Senior class members were seated on the stage, with their class motto presented behind them. The welcome was given by the Senior Class President, Brenda Moor. Many awards and presentations were given to high school students for abilities in academics, citizenship, leadership, music, speech, drama, and track. New National Honor Society members were inducted. They were Lois Krasser, Dacel Vlcek, Denise Krejci, and Jenni Manning. These people join those who were inducted last year, which included Joni Erdkamp, Lyle Koca, Steve Krejci, Brenda Moor, and Rhonda Ruhl. Above, Renae Rozanek, Dawn Cudaback, and Julie Eisner are given an honor by Mrs. Well- man, who presented awards for vocal. At the right, Lyle Robeson receives his track awards from Mr. Shafer, who is also shown below presenting Tim Hoffman with various track awards. Rich Horne (above) is awarded for his efforts in track. At left is shown Dawn Cudaback, who re- ceived a special band award from Mr. Huskey. 22 “The Past Is Just A Memory, Superintendent Sam Bell Resents the class and awards them with their diplomas. Angie Neeman; happily receives her diploma from Gary Ruhl and Sam Bell. Amy Hammond is pleased it’s finally over with!!!! Kelli Gallup and Jennifer Manning, played the Graduation song, “Pomp and Circumstance”. As a whole, the girls had a very successful season amidst all of the terrible weath- er. The track team will be losing some outstanding members through graduation, but next year’s team should be able to look forward to a great season in class D. Our E-Club members can be seen behind the concession stand during the volleyball and basketball season. But the E-Club does alot more than that. This past year the Club provided name tags for letter winners in all indoor sports and T-shirts for the Cross Country team. E-Club sponsored four invitational track meets and purchased a scorer and timer stand for the track team.
