The YEA Club was involved in many activities this year. Each year the YEA girls initiates up- coming Freshmen members. They had the girls made up in exotic clothes and gobs of makeup. Many of the YEA girls took part in taking young- sters to the houses for the UNICEF drive. This drive proved to be very successful. The girls spent time with the elder people during Thanksgiving by making favors for the Bethesda Care Center. We then had a fun time at Christmas by decorat- ing the tree at the City Library and ending the night with a chili supper. A special activity on Valentine’s Day was a Sweetheart Dance spon- sored by the YEA and FFA. The YEA Club took a trip to Lincoln to visit the Lincoln Jaycees Haunted House. We stood in line about four hours to get in and thn found it pretty exciting after we finally got in. We were going to eat but we had to change our schedule because it was getting too late so we came back home. A few days later, we then went to Fairmont Pizza U.S.A. for a pizzaria. We ended the year by having break- fast for the Seniors girls. A short program consist- ed of members of the high school vocal that sang a song and then a presentation of a flower to each senior girl and a participation award to each YEA members.
