Homecoming '78 was a day to remember, with everyone excited the whole week. The Pep Club had a busy but fun week decorating windows, and boosting the spirit of the team. That day the band paraded downtown with the fans following for a downtown pep rally. The band played pep songs, skits were given, awards for the windows were present- ed, and the Senior boys and coaches gave the final word for the night. During halftime of the football game, John Dinneen and Darcee Eberspacher were crowned 1978 Homecoming King and Queen. The King, John Dinneen, presented his Queen with a dozen roses and a royal smooch . The crown bearers are top right, Greg Ricenbaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ri- cenbaw, and Amy Heller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Mueller. Exeter played a really tough game against Clarks, and they proved it by coming out on top. After the game, everyone enjoyed the dance at the Legion Hall which was decorated in the school colors to the theme, Fly Like an Eagle, and sponsored by the Pep Club and Student Council. The band performing at the dance pictured top left was, Free Bird . 5
