Air With Music This year the Girls1 Glee has diminished in size but has grown in quality. As part of the musical ac- tivities, a vocal clinic was held here this year and a conceit was enjoyed by all at the end of the hard day of practice A girlsT sextet is the newest vocal ensemble. They made their singing debut at the high school Christmas party. High Stepping Majorettes Cynthia Stych, Pam Hansen, Patsy Rouch, Barbara Ethington, Gayla Bender, Judy Tauriella A vital part of the Exeter High School Marching Band is its five twirlers and head majorette. These girls lead the band when it marched in the Lord's Acre Day Parade, the parade before the fire hall dedication in Cordova, Nebraska, and during halftime at the football games. j . To broaden their skills, the twirlers went to the annual Twirling Clinic at Syracuse Nebraska and learned many new routines to use at home with their band. ' Three of the twirlers will be graduating this year with the confidence that ; twirlers taught by the present ones will be taking their places. As an added attraction to the summer band concerts, the twirlers often had their pupils perform. These performances were enjoyed by all of the audience, they gave the girls experience, and made the teachers proud of their skills. The twirlers are sponsored by the Band Mothers. young t 25
