j — r' A 1 : CHANGES: every year we go through changes. Sometimes they are for the better; sometimes they are not. Many times we end up the same; many times we are different. How can we make changes in our lives and be the same but different? The beginning of the year was marked by — change. Roosevelt Field underwent renovation. The appearance was dif- ferent, but we attended - football games and cheered on our team in the same way we have done for years. Another big change was the closing of the open lunch program. In the spring of 1985 the school board voted to close the program that allowed students to leave West High during lunch. Although this was some- - thing different for the sen- - ior class the juniors had to cope without a privilege they had looked forward to. Students ate in the cafeteria. It was the same for some and different for others. Seniors enjoy themselves before the Homecoming parade. Tigerettes march down Broadway during the Home- coming parade.
