Students line Thompson Avenue to get a better view of the parade. Al- though the game was rescheduled due to rain, the parade was still held on Oct. 11. Queen Candidatas Lisa Hannah and Kathy Brock, and Freshman Princess Candidates Lori Baughman and Angel Coon, hold the many flowers they received for good luck . All of the candidates were presented at the coronation cere- mony later that evening. The Tigerette's car was the win- ner in the car competition. Their car has won for three con- secutive years. Miss Lara DeAnna Phalp, senior, became the sun shining at the end of a long, rainy week, as she was crowned the 1985 Homecoming Queen on October 11. The corona- tion ceremony, due to the cancelation of the football game, was held at the Homecoming dance. Over 150 cou- ples cleared a path for the royalty to walk in through, and the excite- ment heightened. Lara, the daughter of Ken and Julie Phalp, was escort- ed by 1982 football cap- tain Greg Schuetz, and she was crowned by the 1984 Homecoming Queen, Julie Allen. Miss Monique Renee Payne was selected Sen- ior Class Princess. Mon- ique was escorted by 1983 football captain Gary Mawby. Kathy Ann Brock and Lisa Ma- rie Hannah, senior at- tendants, were escorted by 1983 captains Darren Marriot and Kevin Hoagland, respectively. Miss Tina Marie Roush, escorted by Mike Sellers, was voted Junior Class Princess. Renee Lynn Peppers, escorted by Todd Reuscher, was the Junior attendant. Miss Kimberly Jo Sharp was escorted by Shane Pennington, and she was voted Sopho- more Class Princess. Sophomore attendant LezLee Kay Hamilton was escorted by Seth Brown. In the Freshman Class, Miss Lori Kay Baughman reigned and was escorted by Todd Schuetz. Angel Allison Coon, escorted by John Rimmer, was the Fresh- man attendant. Candidates were se- lected by football team members in their re- spective classes, and then were voted for by the students in their class.
