I try to imagine what it will be like Without you . . . but I keep remembering the walks in the park the Neil Young albums the hours we talked and dreamed. It’s all so clear now Why can’t I see? Maybe because I liked the clouds, the confusion, the surprise of tomorrow. Bicycles, seashells, pictures Dance tantalizingly within my grasp Only to jump at the sight of my hands. We grew together Learning, experiencing snatches of life Between bites of hamburger and chords of music. The time was always NOW, never THEN. NOW is gone and THEN beginning. Where do I fit in? I am happy for you and the new path you’ll take. Your future is bright with the promises of your imagination. Strength and determination are on your side. But it cannot alter the fact That I love you. 7
