' yn 1 Unity for success, pro- gress and peace--we must be united in order to achieve these goals. The strength of a nation de- pends upon the combined efforts of the people. Man has finally reached the moon! It took many years and thousands of people contributing their time and knowledge to ac- hieve this. If we can only think of the world as the astronauts see it- a World without prejudices and differences regarding race, creed, and color-- one world, one nation and one people! School pro- vides the wonderful oppor- tunity of learning, not only lessons of math, history and science but lessons in human relationships as well. This year the El Aviador is dedicated to a man who realizes that to be truely successful there must be one hundred per cent cooperation. He teaches his students to be less proud of their own abilities and more appre- ciative of the abilities of others. This man realizes that winning is not the only goal in sports. Equal- ly important is learning to work together. He care- fully organizes the team and plans its activities to develop team spirit. The team is required to asso- ciate solely with its fellow members before each game However, the real strength lies in the familiar prayer before each game. The success of Excelsior's 1969-70 football team was due largely to the talents of this man. The foregoing is only a small portion of his accomplishments and we respectfully dedicate the 1969-70 El Aviador to Mr. Robert Larson, our Coach of the Year.
