We smile when we're pleased, laugh when we're happy, and frown when we're sad, and our different attitudes reflect these moods. The newly enrolled freshmen at Excelsior found themselves smiling from a wondering sense of anticipation. With the freshmen came a deep desire to get the most from their high school career. Freshmen also experienced a deep concern as they began to realize that in four short years they would come face to face with many of the most important decisions of life. Having completed their first years at Excelsior, the sophomores and juniors were seen frequently laughing from the inner happiness of belonging and participating actively in all phases of school life. The sophomores were busy selecting and finding a way to finance next year's prom while the juniors were energetically making last minute arrangements to assure themselves that their year would be the best. With the excitement of summer past, the upper classmen experienced the quiet solitude of study, the joys of passing exams, and the pride of being seniors. Experiencing many moods, the class of '66 prepared for the big step ahead. Come with us now as we capture the moods and the pulse of the '65-'66 school year. THE EXClTEMENT of summer.
