S gl f f 3 lf' be l'M OLD, but I don't miss much . Pla y-Hervey A Six-fbo! Pooh! Harvey, the junior-senior play, premiered March fourth and fifth in the Excelsior High School auditorium . Under the direction of faculty advisor, Mr. Woodard, and student director, Ellen Knudsen, Harvey, an invisible six foot rabbit, provided an entertaining evening for those who attended. After each performance the audience was left with a very difficult question. Was Harvey just an hilarious halluci- nation, or was the six foot Pooka all Elwood P. Dowd said he was? The action took place in the library of the old Dowd family mansion and the reception room of Chumley's Rest Home. The subtleties of the play were presented by a well-selected cast of Pilots. Gloria Meadows provided the audience with continual laughter as she portrayed Veta Louise, who was unfortunate enough to claim a fraternal relationship with the play's leading character, Elwood P. Dowd, played by Bruce Givertzman. Joe Hernandez added a touch of insane humor to the play, and Paul Laramore, as Doctor Chumley, and Leonard Giambeluca, as Doctor Sanderson, provided a well deserved parody on the American psychiatrist. With the help of other supporting cast members, each performance of Harvey was a tremendous success. Hart of Uharacters Elwood P. Dowd ..... . .
