Pauline Villanueva and Cindy Grijis, first juniors to reeeive class rin r, check to see if their new class rnernentos fit. it Seniors Donned Sweo ters of '65, ' Each Friday seniors carried out the tradition of ole Ex- celsior by wearing their senior sweaters, After serious thought and much deliberation during the latter part of their junior year, thc senior class came to a decision on the colors and style for their class sweaters. The class of '65 chose a beige and brown v-necked cardigan. The sweater was styled with a light beige background and trimmed in a rich brown. A touch of green on the class emblem carried through the traditional colors of Excelsior. Upon receiving their sweaters in the fall, the seniors invaded the campus. Senior square took on a new aspect-the beige and brown of the class Juniors Received Closs Rings In the second week of school, the new juniors enthusiastical- ly received their rings. Receiv- ing the new rings was im- portant to the juniors for it symbolized the fact that they had finally become upperclass- men. This golden memento, inscribed with each owner's initials, and a replica of the Pilot plane, coupled with the lamp of learning, en- hanced the hands of those who wore it. It must be Friday. Why else would Ed Apodaea and Ken Bofvee wear their senior sweaters? 1 , -. X
