K I '1f2f , POSTURE QUEEN 36 Ann Pirtle Since our production need- ed money to carry on just as much in the second semester as in the first, the Student Body Ways and Means Com- mittee continued their work of keeping the treasury ca- pable of paying for produc- tion costs. They thought of ways to raise money and then put them to work. A Pretty Girl ls Like a Melody was the theme of Posture Week, a special fea- ture which ran the week of March 2-61 Ann Pirtle, senior, and star of the week was ad- iudged the girl in the school with the best posture. Shar- ing the spotlight were Judy Rommel representing the iun- iors, Joy Crane, sophomores, Marty Pritchett, freshmen.

Each year a Junior boy and girl are chosen to attend a mock state government sponsored by the American Legion.
