Members of the cast are able to voice their opinions to the directors through the House of Represent- atives. ldeas and suggestions from the House of Represent- atives were turned over to the Senate to be acted upon. ln this way a good stu- dent body relation- ship resulted be- tween the cast and the directors. This was the role played by the stu- dent iudges. They tried cases and fined the students accord- ing to seriousness of their crimes. Students were chosen on their - citizenship record and grades. Chuck Emerson, student I body vice-president, presided over the group. Consisting of one member selected from every council class, under the chairmanship of Bea Vigil, the House of Representatives was important to our pro- duction. As the directors of the Ex- celsior Story, the Senate, more commonly known as the Leadership class, had many important decisions to make about the production. Some of the main duties of the Leadership class were to pass bills, make motions towards the changing of the Student Body charter, and also ap- propriate student body funds. They worked, planned and schemed to- gether to give our rallies that extra something which boost- ed our spirits high at football games. Instead of calling quiet on the set they en- couraged all the cheering and yelling that our strained voices could produce.
