Student Bud MR. ALONZO VALENTINE Principal Mr. Alonzo Valentine became the Principal of Excelsior High School this past year. He replaced Mr. Richard Gahr, who is now Superintendent of Schools. His main duties were to direct the administrative officers, and teachers, provide an educational program for the entire student body, and meet with the Parent- Teachers Association. He is a genial man with whom everyone enjoys talking and working. A familiar face was seen in a new position ' this year. Miss Lucile Tombs, after coming to Excelsior in 1928 in the business education department, and being found in 1939 as Dean of Girls was known in 1957 as assistant prin- cipal.
