- MANY WORKED, SOME PLAYED - Mr. G. Curtis, Mr. N. Gandolfo, Mr. V. Hawley, Mr. S. Rogers, Mr. A. Root. Faculty Officers M'Li ss FAC ULTY P LAY The Villain Was Found Guilty. The Murder Trial Begins Strange as it may seem to the stu- dents of Excelsior, our teachers have had an organization of their own, the Faculty Association. The man who held the gavel this year was Mr. George Curtis, boys P. E. coach . Mr. Volney Hawley banged the gavel in the President's absence, while Mrs. Arlene Root, school nurse, took care of the correspondence, the min- utes and all other secretarial duties. Mr. Nick Gandolfo, English teacher, took charge of counting the cash and reporting on income and expenses. Imagine our teachersworkingin ac- tivities with all their school work, how did they do it?

- WHILE ALL WERE SERVED AND - CAFETERIA FLIGHT DECK Nutritious and well-balanced meals were served to the studentbody of Excelsior High, and Norwalk High this past year by the seven cafeteria workers headed by Mrs. Redmayne. The staff served close to 400 meals each day, and also helped in the cooking of banquets which were held in the cafeteria. Under the supervision of Mr. Robert Eissler, the Flight Deck has been open for the past five years for the convenience of the students. Students who have given up their snack and lunch periods are the ones who are keeping the Flight Deck running. From the Scribes of Egypt many centuries ago, down through the ages, secretaries have been a valuable aid to man. In keeping school records, financial and otherwise, helping in the offices, helping the faculty and students work together and by themselves, the secretaries, including the women working in the book room and the girls' gym, have donea capable iob of making Excelsior High the biggest and best school in its district.
